Hi Tabea,
The underlying algorithms: "Prohibit ..." creates non-overlapping fibers directly, while "Without ..." creates overlapping fibers first and removes the overlap afterwards. In most cases, "Without..." is better: Faster + higher SVF possible.

Hi,
can ElastoDict only solve linear-ealstic problems? Or can I also simulate plastic deformation?
Thanks

Hi,
I want to generate endless fibers in FiberGeo but GeoDIct gives the following error message: "A short fiber of maximal size might overlap with itself in a periodic domain." what do I have to do?
Thanks

Image Analysis / Segment by fiber diameter
May 28, 2021, 02:02:46 PM
Hi,
I have a fiber structure on which I ran FiberFind (analytic). The fibers have different diameters and I want to assign the fibers to different three classes depending on their diameter. Is there an easy way to do that?
Thanks
Martina

Hi Tabea,
under the "fiber Options" tab, set the Orientation for the fibers to "Given Directions" and enter the direction as vector.Or use "Angle in XY-Plane" and set the angle to e. g. 0°.
