Hello,
I had a question regarding pore shape visualization. The identify pores scatter plot identifies 4 pore types, and the help guide shows representative visuals for the 4 types. We were curious if the pore types could be visualized in the dataset itself? Based on what I've seen, none of the pore visualizations represented this. Thank you.
Respectfully,
Jack Davis
Dear Jack,
the resulting fit shapes of the fitted ellipsoids shown in the scatter plot are contained in the Result File, but a bit hidden.
In the Results - Map subtab, they are listed under the key "DerivedResults -> PoreClassification":

The position of each fit shape corresponds to the Index in the Index Image (*.g32 file) of the identified grains as well as the GAD Object ID in the Pore Fit Shapes structure file. You can load both files from the Result Viewer in the Pore Visualization tab:

I loaded the results (Index Image and fitted ellipsoids) from the results shown above. As you see, the first object is classified as sphere, and the Index from the Index Image is 1 as well as the GAD Objects ID of this pore.

I hope this explanations are helpful for you, please let me know if you have additional questions!
Best regards
